What is Deel?

Deel is a leading provider of global payroll and compliance services for businesses looking to hire team members from anywhere in the world. The company has experienced significant growth and success in recent years, helping businesses to easily hire and pay team members in over 190 countries.

With Deel's help, businesses can easily hire team members from anywhere without worrying about local laws, complex tax systems, or managing international payroll. This allows businesses to focus on what they do best, while Deel handles the payroll and compliance aspects of international hiring.

How it works

By automating the regulatory and tax complexities that come with incentivizing team members from different countries, Easop enables businesses to grant equity to their team faster and more cost-effectively.

Instead of manually entering grantee information such as name, email address, contract start date, country of residence, and work relationship, businesses can simply connect Easop with their Deel account and import new grantees in one click. In addition to preventing clerical errors, this saves time and effort for businesses, allowing them to focus on other important tasks.

We want to remind you that EoRs like Deel, Remote, Oyster, etc. need to comply with wage tax reporting obligations (generally in relation to the exercise of the stock options), and they can’t do it if you don’t inform them, so make sure liaise with them early on!

We’re working hard to make this as smooth as possible but in the meantime, please maintain good visibility with your EoR when it comes to equity granted to EoR employees.

Setup

To integrate with Deel, you’ll need:

  • Admin access to your Easop account
  • An active Deel subscription

Here is a step by step guide on how to use the integration between Easop and Deel to grant equity to international hires:

  1. Connect Easop with your Deel account: The first step is to establish a connection between Easop and Deel. This can be done through the Settings section of your Easop account.
  2. Import new grantees from Deel: Once the connection is established, you can begin importing new grantees from Deel. This can be done through the Grantees section of your Easop account.
  3. Auto-fill grantees’ information at creation: When adding a new grantee in Easop, the integration will automatically populate the grantee’s personal details such as name, email address, contract start date, country of residence, and work relationship. In addition to preventing clerical errors, this saves time and effort, as you don’t have to manually enter this information.
  4. Monitor and manage equity grants: With the integration in place, you can easily monitor and manage equity grants for your international hires. This includes tracking vesting schedules, issuing equity documents, and managing tax compliance.
